I found this beautiful Linen fabric at the market and thought; that might be a good shopping bag. A bit heavier than calico, but I like that, it gives more support for the shopping in particular and it feels good when you touch the bag or carry it in your hands. Fully lined makes it look tidy on the inside, I love that too 🙂 And I added 2 pockets; one on the inside and one on the outside… keeping certain things separated, always good to have that option as well as choosing between long or short straps. Available are these 2 beauties at my Etsy shop. Feel free to check it out 🙂
After a day cutting out of sterling silver sheet and soldering a lot of ear posts, today is the polishing day. Tidy up all sawing marks and polishing… shiny and bright to get every magpie envying us 🙂
There will be some significant improvements, I love getting the silver to mirror finish 🙂
After we had so much snow and such frosty temperatures, we just have miserable rainy weather left. Can’t wait for spring and sunny days? Here is a little alternative; Daisy Flower sterling silver jewellery, to shorten the waiting time and as a little reminder of sunny days, they surely will come… sooner or later. Meanwhile you might like to check them out:

Woven chains are beautiful and who doesn’t like to have one. Made from jump rings, I thought I make one, that is for a change soldered. And this is the result; a beautiful Box Chain in sterling silver
First I had to cut lots of jump rings and with lots, I mean really; lots of jump rings, using 1mm sterling silver wire and happy cutting with my handsaw 🙂
Taking the wire from the mandrel off, ready to be sawed into jump rings
Starting to wave the jump rings and every 2 jump rings I needed to solder, being very careful not to unsolder any already made connections like this:
Taking every jump ring and my favourite blow torch… make sure other solder points aren’t in the way and off you solder
Tidying up every jump ring after every soldering and don’t be lazy, you will never be able to do it later properly.
Not a quick project but a very satisfying one, when you are ever going to be finished. The result speaks for itself. Good luck if you are going to make one. And if you rather like to buy it, well I don’t mind that. This bracelet is available at my Etsy Shop
